Twenty-two years ago, reports stated that the internet was a passing fad and people were logging off of it by the millions. Look how far we’ve come. Now, it’s hard to even imagine life without the internet.

The internet has created so much opportunity for creatives, and as we all know, it has also created a lot of problems and distractions. Those that have learned to master the internet and not be mastered by it seem to rise to the top.

What is today’s technological breakthrough that many are overlooking as a passing fad? How might we learn from the past and consider pressing into the unknown so that we master new tools and opportunities that might usher in an exciting new way to live?

As I travel through the internet, I find myself reading articles about the future with an optimistic pessimism. It’s a hope for the best but with a skeptical eye trying to understand what may or may not stick and why.
